In an interview with Currents News, a Catholic news program airing on NET-TV, Consul General Al-Suwaidi discusses the UAE's long relationship with the Vatican ahead of the Pope's visit to the UAE. 

"The UAE is a very tolerant and open society where people are free to worship and practice their religion. We have more than 40 churches, 700 Christian ministries and people of many different faiths," he said.
